The Wedding Photographs!

3:30 p.m.

It was back into the limo with a wee bit of celebration bubbly to go to Ballygally Castle Hotel for photographs and the reception.
The weather was unstable with periodic downpours and mist and then 10 minutes later bright sunshine so the photographs were taken as we ran in and out of the hotel between downpours with the help of an umbrella. Eventually it cleared up enough that we could have some more photos taken at the hotel and on the beach.
Here are a few sample photos:

The Wedding Ceremony!

2:20 p.m.

We're a bit late but how many weddings actually start on time.
The "Guest Book Photograph"
I'm still not nervous as I walk into the church and see alot of Colin's cousins standing outside the church doors but once Dad and I are standing at the inside church doors to walk down the aisle, I can feel the flood gates start to burst...That's it, there open.
At the rehearsal, Colin did not turn around to look at me as I walked down the aisle as is Presbyterian tradition, so afterwards we decided that he would so I could focus on his handsome face. However, once I turned into Niagara Falls I couldn't look at him because I would have turned into the Irish Sea!!!
There were one or two leftover tears but the rest of the service was a fairly dry experience despite a 5 minute downpour that we could hear on the church roof. We made it through our vows and then it was time to sign the Register in the Minister's room.
After signing the Register we walked out of the church into the glorious sunshine!

9:30 a.m. - Together Ellie and Mom drove down to Shek Salon in Larne while Karen, Margaret and I took a taxi.

We had our hair done and after that took turns having our make-up done.

AT 12:30 we all piled into Ellie's car to go back to the house where the limo and the photographers were waiting for us.

It's time to get ready:
